Reed is a painter, designer and sculpture of built environments having spent the past twenty years focusing and exploring Architectures relation to the human behavior within our built world. He continues to explore visually and metaphorically our historic relationship between the personal, religious and political interactions in our modern world and the sense of "reality". These explorations began while in Art and Architectural school and continue today. A new body of work that continues to explore these relationships centered around family are in production and will be culminated in a show in 2012.
Architecturally Reed has spent the past 20 years in building design, planning and development here and around the globe. Reed's experience in the Architectural industry has spanned many different roles including design, project implementation and management. Reed's building philosophy is always to “bridge collaborate” between designers, builders, artists, and the environment engaging the building in both the urban and natural landscapes. Seeing the built environment as more than the utilitarian need to occupy and shelter, but as a means of expressing our understanding of space, time and history.
